On the morning of December 13, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police confirmed that rescue forces had just participated in extinguishing a fire that broke out in two cars.
The most recent fire occurred in the early morning of December 13. A car with license plate 74A-067.xx was traveling on National Highway 1 through Dong Giang Ward (Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province) when it suddenly caught fire.
Upon receiving the information, at 6:00 a.m. the same day, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police dispatched 2 fire trucks to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Previously, at 9:30 p.m. on December 12, the Lao Bao Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team (Quang Tri Provincial Police) also received a report that a car caught fire while traveling on Le Hong Phong Street (Lao Bao town, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province).
This team dispatched 2 fire trucks and 13 officers and soldiers to deploy the fire fighting formation. By 9:50 p.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
Initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit in the vehicle's electrical system.
