According to information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the province has just requested localities to review the entire list of households in need of housing support, ensuring no omissions, duplication or situation of taking advantage of policies.
In which, 30 communes are required to review the responsibilities of related organizations and individuals and send the results to the Department of Home Affairs no later than July 15.
The Department of Home Affairs has the task of clarifying the causes, specific responsibilities, proposing strict handling, not conducting formal reviews, and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee before July 20.
The Provincial People's Committee especially noted the data in 9 communes including Thong Nhat, Tan Tien, Chien Thang, Quan Son, Van Linh, Yen Binh, Tri Le, Tan Van and Hung Vu. Statistics in these localities were assessed as inaccurate, unconsistent and fluctuating through many reviews.
According to the province, the above deviations affect the determination of needs, the development of support plans and reporting to the Steering Committee at the same level with competent authority.
Subjective causes are identified as the main ones, first of all, under the direction, inspection, and urging responsibilities of specialized agencies and heads of grassroots authorities.
Communes and wards must complete the review of the list of eligible households before July 20. The appraisal must be public, transparent, and meet standards; not to miss households in difficult circumstances but also not to include incorrect subjects in the list.
Through statistical rounds, Lang Son recorded a total of 2,224 houses in need of support, including 1,699 newly built houses and 525 repaired houses.
Previously, in the first 6 months of the year, the province completed supporting 1,340 houses according to the implementation plan, including building 826 new houses and repairing 514 houses.
The process of implementing the program is currently facing difficulties because most beneficiaries are poor and near-poor households, with low responsiveness.
Some households are not ready to build or repair houses due to family circumstances, customs, and psychological hesitation; many cases are still entangled in land procedures, materials and labor.
Local authorities are required to mobilize residential communities, clans, and relatives to support funding, materials, and working days. The province also plans to mobilize officials, civil servants, public employees, laborers, and armed forces to contribute one day's salary.
Businesses and organizations that have registered for support from 2024-2025 but have not transferred money will be urged to complete it in July.
Socialized sources will be integrated with the budget and capital from national target programs to continue supporting people to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
