On January 9, news from the People's Committee of Hai Phong City said that the People's Committee of Hai Phong City issued Decision 18/QD-UBND dated January 6, 2025 on transferring villages in Thuy Nguyen city, Hong Bang district, and An Duong district into residential groups.
Previously, on October 24, 2024, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1232/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district-level and commune-level administrative units of Hai Phong city for the period 2023 - 2025. Accordingly, from January 1, 2025, Hai Phong city will have 15 district-level administrative units (including 8 districts, 1 city and 6 districts) and 167 commune-level administrative units (including 79 wards, 7 towns and 81 communes).
Of which, Thuy Nguyen city has 17 wards and 4 communes; An Duong district has 10 wards; Hong Bang district has 10 wards, of which 3 wards were established on the basis of receiving 3 communes of An Duong district to establish 3 wards (including An Hung, An Hong, Dai Ban wards).
Through reviewing and collecting statistics on villages and residential groups in the area, there are 310 villages that must be converted into residential groups in wards of Thuy Nguyen city, An Duong district and Hong Bang district.
Hai Phong City People's Committee requests the People's Committees of Thuy Nguyen City, An Duong District and Hong Bang District, after converting villages into residential groups, to develop a Project and carry out the procedures for renaming residential groups with the same name in the same ward area according to regulations to ensure convenience for local government management and create favorable conditions for people and organizations.
