On the afternoon of August 1, the Border Guard Station of Tien Sa Port (under the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port, Da Nang Border Guard) organized the reception and handover of 4 fishermen of fishing boat ND 93319TS in distress at sea to the locality and their families.
Previously, at around 6:30 a.m. on July 31, while traveling from Hai Phong port to Da Nang, the cargo ship Hai Duong 99 discovered 4 crew members drifting at sea in Thanh Hoa sea. Immediately, the captain directed the approach, rescue and performed first aid to the crew members in distress.

The identities of the fishermen include: Pham Van Chuyen (1976), Pham Van Nguyen (1978), Nguyen Van The (1979) and Tran Van Hung (1984), all of whom are from Quyet Nhat commune, Ninh Binh province. Fishermen said that fishing boatND 93319TS sank at around 8:30 a.m. on July 30, then they used a basket boat to keep it safe and drifted at sea for nearly 11pm until it was discovered and rescued.
At 2:00 p.m. on August 1, the Hai Duong 99 ship docked at port X-50 (Da Nang). The Border Guard Station at Tien Sa Port sent officers and military doctors to the boat to visit and check the health of the fishermen, and quickly contacted and informed the families.
Captain of the 99 Hai Duong ship, Bui Van Son (born in 1979) shared: "At around 6:30 am, I discovered a basket boat drifting with 4 people signaling for help. Immediately, I approached and put them on the train, provided me with food support, checked their health and continued the journey to Da Nang as planned."
Lieutenant Colonel Vo Dinh Quoc - Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port - said: "After receiving the information, we quickly deployed to receive, provide medical support and notify the locality and family to soon bring the fishermen back".
On the same afternoon, Mr. Dinh Vui - Chairman of Son Tra Ward People's Committee - visited, presented gifts and encouraged the 4 fishermen in distress.
Mr. Dinh Vui also noted that fishermen should increase safety when participating in seafood exploitation activities.
On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port also sent gifts to visit and share difficulties with fishermen who have just experienced incidents at sea.
