Verifying the identity of the woman who died after the train accident in Da Nang

    On the evening of June 18, on the North-South railway line through Thanh Khe district (Da Nang city), a traffic accident occurred, killing one person.

    Initial information, at 6:50 p.m. the same day, the HH42 train driven by Tran Duc Hiep was running from Da Nang Station to the North.

    When the train reached Km 788+300 (in Thanh Khe district), the train driver discovered a woman (name unknown) crossing the railway, so he immediately broke the emergency brakes to stop the train.

    However, because the cargo ship was long and heavy, it hit this woman, causing her to die on the spot.

    After the accident, the HH42 train stopped at the scene at 6:55 p.m. and resumed its journey at 7:23 p.m.

    Currently, the Traffic Police force, the Railway Safety Management Department II (Vietnam Railway Authority) are coordinating with functional forces to take over the scene to clarify the cause of the accident.
