The Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has just decided to approve the feasibility study report for the project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 1 (the traffic route connecting Dak R'lap district and Tuy Duc border district). Accordingly, the project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 1 has a length of nearly 26 km with a total investment of 600 billion VND.
The project, invested by the Dak Nong Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, will be implemented from 2025 to 2028 with a design meeting grade III mountainous standards.
Of which, the nearly 26 km long section will be upgraded synchronously with a 9 m wide roadbed, of which the road surface is 6 m wide and the sidewalk on each side is 1.5 m wide.
The project aims to improve transport infrastructure, meet people's travel needs, improve the efficiency of freight transport, promote socio-economic development and strengthen security and defense in border areas...
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that many locations on Provincial Road 1 were seriously degraded. Many sections had collapsed and the road surface was severely damaged, causing traffic safety problems. This is an important traffic route connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with Bu P'rang border gate, bordering Mondulkiri province (Cambodia). Therefore, Dak Nong province's investment in and upgrading of the above road is very important.
