On November 6, Road Management Office III.4 (Road Management Area III) said that at around 6:00 a.m. the same day, a landslide occurred at Km194+250 of Truong Son Dong road through Kon Tum province.
At the scene, an estimated 680 cubic meters of rock were blocking the road, blocking the road with a length of about 40 meters, nearly 9 meters wide, and an average height of 2 meters. The landslide was on the positive slope, the weather is currently rainy, foggy and rocks continue to roll down the road.
Mr. Tran Lanh - a truck driver said: "Driving on Truong Son Dong road this season is dangerous because the mountain pass has many sharp turns and heavy rain obscures visibility. In addition, drivers are worried that rocks falling from high mountains can affect their lives."
Road Management Office III.4 directed Kon Tum Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company to promptly approach the landslide site, ensure traffic, and gather machinery.
As soon as the weather is favorable, the construction unit will proceed to clear the rock mass to clear the route.
Previously, on October 30, also at Km194+250 of Truong Son Dong road, a landslide occurred on the positive slope, causing traffic congestion.
The volume of landslide is estimated at about 200m3. The construction unit has mobilized machinery to clear the road.
