On August 6, Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee - chaired a meeting with departments, branches, and localities to listen to reports and give opinions on the progress of removing obstacles for backlog and prolonged projects in the province.
According to the report of the Department of Finance, the whole province currently has 97 projects that have had policies and directions for handling according to the Central Government's Conclusion. Of which, 61 projects apply specific mechanisms and policies according to Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16 dated April 24, 2026 of the National Assembly, and the remaining 36 projects are under the jurisdiction of the Provincial People's Committee.
For the group of 61 projects according to Resolution No. 29, the Department of Finance has developed an implementation plan until November 30, 2016. To date, the Department has received 57/61 proposal dossiers from investors; the remaining 4 projects have not yet prepared dossiers requesting continued land allocation and land lease.
For 36 projects under the jurisdiction of the Provincial People's Committee, implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, agencies, units, and localities have reviewed 22 projects according to Inspection Conclusion No. 151/KL-TTR dated June 26, 2026 of the Chief Inspector of the Provincial Inspectorate; chaired and coordinated with investors and related units to inspect and comprehensively review 3 projects approved for investment policy by the Prime Minister.
At the same time, agencies, units, and localities are focusing on reviewing and advising the Provincial People's Committee to direct the handling of 11 projects that are still facing difficulties and obstacles under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee and not belonging to the group of projects implemented under Resolution No. 29.
Speaking to direct, Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien requested departments, branches, and localities to identify the removal of backlog and prolonged projects as an important task, which must be implemented drastically and urgently, associated with the specific responsibilities of each agency, unit, and individual.
Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien requested departments, branches, and localities to urgently implement 28 projects that have been commented on by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; urgently prepare dossiers to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for 15 eligible projects; and at the same time, continue to review and complete dossiers for the remaining projects to continue submitting to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for consideration.
