According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch on organizing a press conference on the An Khanh - Bac Giang thermal power plant project.
Accordingly, to inform press agencies about the inspection conclusion of the Government Inspectorate for the An Khanh - Bac Giang thermal power plant project, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh has the following opinion:
Assign the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with An Khanh - Bac Giang Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies and units to organize a press conference on the inspection conclusion of the Government Inspectorate for the An Khanh - Bac Giang thermal power plant project; complete before January 24, 2025.
It is known that the An Khanh - Bac Giang thermal power plant project is located in Vu Xa commune, Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province (now Cam Ly commune, Bac Ninh province), is a group A project, a level I industrial project.
The project is invested by An Khanh - Bac Giang Thermal Power Joint Stock Company.
The project was approved with a total investment of more than 23,601 billion VND, invested in the form of IPP (independent power project, not using state budget capital, mainly using private capital) using equity, commercial loans and other mobilized sources.
The project implementation time (completion and commercial power generation) is in 2023 and is extended to December 2025 according to decisions of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province (old).
Recently, the Government Inspectorate issued inspection conclusions on difficult and problematic projects under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In which, the conclusion clearly pointed out many violations at the An Khanh - Bac Giang Thermal Power Plant project.
Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee has also issued an official dispatch on considering proposing to handle administrative violations against An Khanh - Bac Giang Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, the investor of the above project.
