The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch on the notion of the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the inspection of traffic congestion in Van Trung and Quang Chau Industrial Parks and the implementation of the Cam Ly bridge project on September 3, 2025.
Accordingly, for the Cam Ly railway bridge project Km24+134 of the Ap - Ha Long railway line, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province acknowledged the proactive and drastic spirit of implementing site clearance of localities and the direction and acceleration of the construction progress of the Railway Project Management Board.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province requested that the general spirit for the Cam Ly Km24+134 railway bridge project, the Kep - Ha Long railway line, must be completed and put into operation and use no later than January 2026.
Therefore, the People's Committee of Cam Ly and Bac Lung communes is required to urgently complete the remaining site volume and hand it over to the investor before September 3, 2025.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lung commune, Cam Ly is responsible to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee if there is a delay in progress.
Agree with the project implementation progress reported by the Railway Project Management Board; the progress of closing Cam Ly bridge is completed before December 15, 2025; the entire project will be completed in January 2026.
The Cam Ly Railway Bridge project Km24+134 of the Ap - Ha Long railway line was approved in April 2024 with a total investment of 796.57 billion VND, invested by the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction).
The project includes the construction package: Construction of routes and works on routes, road bridges across railways and Cam Ly road bridge across Luc Nam river.
In which, the starting point of the project intersects with National Highway 37 in Cam Ly commune; the end point is in Bac Lung commune, Bac Ninh province. The total length of the entire route is about 3.267km, of which the railway overpass is 287.95m long, the Cam Ly road bridge is 631.1m long, and the approach road is 2.347km long.
The old Cam Ly Bridge across the Luc Nam River, built in 1979, is 272.4m long, including 4 steel spans, each span is 64.6m long.
This is the only bridge in the country that is still used for both trains and cars on the same side of the bridge. The bridge is currently degraded and seriously overloaded.
