Quang Tri - 200 houses in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts have just been inaugurated and handed over to the poor and people with housing difficulties.

On the afternoon of December 23, in Huong Hiep commune (Dakrong district, Quang Tri province), the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of 200 houses to the poor and people with housing difficulties in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts.

Implementing the policy of the Central Government, the Government and the Project of the Ministry of Public Security on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and supporting the construction of houses for people with revolutionary contributions, households affected by natural disasters, poor households, near-poor households, and ethnic minorities, over the past years, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized resources and supported the construction of thousands of houses in many localities across the country.

In Quang Tri, with funding supported by the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Police Department has presided over and coordinated with relevant localities, units and organizations to build 200 houses for the poor in two mountainous districts: Huong Hoa and Dakrong, with a support level of 50 million VND for each house.

After more than 2 months of implementation (from October 2024) with the determination to complete housing for people in time to welcome the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, 200 houses have been handed over to people for use in the form of "turnkey", helping people feel secure in their work and production, contributing to consolidating a solid people's security posture.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, emphasized that the completion of the construction of 200 houses for people in Quang Tri according to the set schedule is a very valuable result and the result of the efforts, cooperation and contribution of many groups and individuals, all sharing the same spirit and will of "joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind".

Lieutenant General Pham The Tung thanked Quang Tri province for accompanying and coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security in the implementation of this meaningful program. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the locality would continue to pay more attention, support and help to the People's Public Security force in general and the Quang Tri Provincial Police in particular.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security and leaders of Quang Tri province presented 200 gifts from General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security to households in difficult circumstances in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts.
