Mr. Nguyen Van Nhon - Secretary of the Party Committee of Buon Choah commune emphasized: "From the State's investment support capital sources and the people's joint efforts, by the end of December 2024, the locality assessed that it had basically completed 19/19 criteria for building new rural areas".
According to Mr. Nhon, in 2025, the commune will continue to focus on exploiting revenue sources and resources mobilized from the people to invest in new rural construction.
This process is carried out with the motto that the State supports the people to do and benefit. From there, promoting the role of the community and taking ownership in building new rural areas.
Care for the poor
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Danh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong No district said that the district has requested the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to advise the Provincial People's Committee to assign the poverty reduction target for 2025 to Krong No district with a reduction rate of 0.5% of poor households.
Because the poverty rate of the district is lower than the poverty rate of the province. On the other hand, the majority of the remaining poor households in the district have very difficult economic conditions such as serious illness, many children, no land for production, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Bi - Secretary of Krong No District Party Committee affirmed: "Building new rural areas is one of the key tasks of the province in particular and the country in general. This is an important foundation to improve the material and spiritual life of rural people".
Mr. Nguyen Tan Bi said that building new rural areas is a journey that has a starting point but no ending point, because science and technology, agricultural production technology, infrastructure and planning are constantly changing and developing. Therefore, communes should not be complacent with the achievements they have made.
"Localities need to identify poverty reduction in ethnic minority areas as a long-term task, requiring a specific and systematic roadmap and plan. Thereby, helping people create sustainable livelihoods, develop a stable economy, and build a prosperous and happy life," Mr. Bi emphasized.
In 2024, the number of poor households in Krong No district will be only 538, accounting for 2.72% (a decrease of 210 households compared to 2023, reaching 132.5% of the plan assigned by the province).
The number of near-poor households is 1,674 with 7,795 people, accounting for 8.47%, a decrease of 604 households compared to 2023.
