    Ha Tinh - While grazing cows in the fields, a 13-year-old girl in Loc Yen commune (Huong Khe district) was unfortunately beaten to death by lightning.

    The leader of the People's Committee of Loc Yen commune informed that on the afternoon of June 22, a 13-year-old girl was beaten to death by lightning while grazing a cow's blanket.

    Accordingly, at around 5:30 p.m. on June 22, N.T.H.N (13 years old, residing in Dong Giang village, Loc Yen commune), a 7th grade student at Chu Van An Secondary School (Huong Khe town) was grazing cows in Cay Sy field in Dong Giang village when there was thunder and lightning.

    At this time, N was suddenly hit and killed by lightning. The cow that N was raising in the fields was also beaten to death by lightning.

    Grasping the incident, the authorities of Loc Yen commune coordinated to support the family to bring the victim's body home for burial according to local customs.

    Within the past month, in Ha Tinh province, there have been 6 cases of people being beaten to death by lightning while going out to the fields to harvest rice and raise livestock.
