The leader of the Da Teh Town Power Company (Da Huoai District, Lam Dong) said that lightning had just appeared in the area, breaking the power line.
Specifically, at around 5:00 p.m. on June 20, in Da Teh town and some neighboring communes (Da Huoai district), thunderstorms accompanied by lightning occurred.
After that, on Provincial Road 725 towards Con O Pass in Residential Group 4 (Da Teh Town), there were many consecutive loud explosions accompanied by lightning.
Immediately after that, 2 out of 3 power lines of the 22KV medium-voltage line through here broke and fell onto the road.
Fortunately, at the time of the lightning attack, there were no people or vehicles participating in traffic, so there were no casualties.
The lightning incident that broke the medium-voltage power line caused thousands of households in Da Teh town and the two communes of My Duc and Quoc Oai along Provincial Road 725 to lose power.
Immediately after the incident, the Da Teh Town Power Company dispatched forces and vehicles to fix the problem.
Currently, the forces are making efforts to reconnect the power line to soon provide electricity to people for use.
The authorities warned that this is the peak of the rainy and stormy season. When people see thunderstorms and lightning, they need to find safe shelter, avoid going out on the streets or into the vacant fields to ensure safety.
