Regarding the case of a wife being fined 7.5 million VND for insulting her husband that Lao Dong Newspaper reported on December 13, information from the People's Committee of Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh Province) said that the husband had just been fined for beating and insulting his wife.

Previously, on November 26, Mr. N.T.S (50 years old, in Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city) beat and injured his wife, Ms. T.T.M.H (50 years old).

Mr. S was fined 15 million VND by Dong Hoi City People's Committee for the above two acts.

The sanctions are applied according to the Government's decree on administrative sanctions in the fields of security, order, and social safety; prevention of social evils; fire prevention, fighting, rescue; and prevention and control of domestic violence.

As Lao Dong reported, Ms. H was just fined 7.5 million VND by the People's Committee of Dong Hoi City for insulting the honor and dignity of Mr. S.
