On January 4, a delegation of officials from the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee led by Mr. Lu Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - inspected the implementation of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Vinh Loi district.
Visiting and surveying the construction progress of some support houses for poor households and households under social protection in Chau Thoi commune, Vinh Loi district, the Provincial Party Secretary visited the households to inquire about their lives, congratulated them and encouraged them to work hard to improve their family economy after having new houses, and join hands with local authorities to carry out emulation movements well, especially to improve the quality of new rural construction.
The Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee also visited families preparing to build houses to see the reality of people's lives, food and accommodation.
According to the People's Committee of Vinh Loi district, in phase 1, the district has completed 20 houses, and the remaining 48 houses will be handed over before the Lunar New Year 2025 so that people can welcome a happy and warm spring.
To effectively implement the program, the district has also launched phase 2 with 120 houses and will complete it before April 30, 2025.
The Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee commended Vinh Loi’s efforts and initial results in implementing the program. At the same time, he suggested that the district increase the mobilization of military forces, youth volunteers, etc. to support the construction of houses to ensure the set progress, and reward individuals with positive contributions.
In particular, during the construction process, there must be supervision, monitoring, and urging to ensure that the housing meets the 3 hard standards, contributing to helping households in difficult circumstances to settle down, feel secure in production to improve their lives.
