According to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, implementing Official Dispatch No. 769/CD-TTg dated August 26, 2023 of the Prime Minister and the document of the Government Office, this locality has proposed the Ministry of Transport to consider investing in upgrading and expanding 5 routes in urgent need of investment soon.
Five routes are proposed to be expanded, including: National Highway (QL) 19B, 19C, DT629, DT634 and DT638, with a total length of about 30km, to connect from the North-South expressway interchange to QL1 and industrial parks.
In particular, upgrading and expanding DT629 route (Bong Son - An Lao), the section from the intersection at Km1+600 (Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon component project) connecting with provincial road DT629 in An My commune (Hoai An district), with a length of about 8km to connect to QL1 and DT638, with an estimated cost of 160 billion VND.
Upgrading and expanding section DT638 from the interchange at Km26+400 in My Trinh commune (Phu My district) to the connecting road from the West of the province (DT638) and the coastal road (DT639) in Phu My district, to connect with National Highway 1 about 2km, with an estimated cost of 30 billion VND.
Upgrading and expanding DT634 route, the section from the interchange at Km45+500 with DT634 in Cat Hiep commune (Phu Cat district), about 5km long to connect to QL1, with an estimated cost of 90 billion VND.
Upgrading and expanding National Highway 19B, from the intersection at about Km56+00, connecting with National Highway 19B in Tay An commune (Tay Son district), to connect with Phu Cat airport, National Highway 1 about 5km, estimated cost 140 billion VND.
Upgrading and expanding National Highway 19C, from the intersection at about Km10+600, connecting with National Highway 19C in Phuoc Thanh commune (Tuy Phuoc district), to connect with National Highway 1 about 10km, with an estimated cost of 250 billion VND.
On the other hand, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has also proposed that the Ministry of Transport invest in building additional interchanges in Hoai Nhon town to connect with National Highway 1, Tam Quan fishing port, and industrial clusters to create momentum to promote the development of Hoai Nhon town, becoming the northern growth pole of the province.
However, the Ministry of Transport has not yet considered and compiled a report to recommend to the Prime Minister for investment and construction. Therefore, we respectfully request the Ministry of Transport to consider additional investment in the construction of intersections in Hoai Chau and Hoai Son communes (Hoai Nhon town).
It is known that the North-South expressway passing through Hoai Nhon town has a total length of 29.3km, designed with a connecting intersection at Km79+028 (Hoai Thanh Tay ward) to connect with the local traffic system.
However, through research, consideration and review of local planning, in order to connect with industrial clusters: Hoai Chau, Hoai Phu, Hoai Hai, Tuong Son, Tam Quan, Hoai Huong, especially connecting to La Vuong plateau; connecting the western area of the town and An Lao district, creating leverage for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security. Therefore, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee proposed to add investment to build 2 intersections with an estimated cost of about 800 billion VND.
