On February 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province informed that the locality will organize low-altitude fireworks displays on New Year's Eve to serve the people.
Accordingly, the Ministry of National Defense has decided to support Dak Lak province with 50% of the funds for organizing fireworks displays on New Year's Eve; the remaining 50% of the funds, the province will mobilize from socialized sources.
According to the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the support from the Ministry of National Defense, the organization of fireworks displays after the province's merger will be implemented. This is what the majority of people want, thereby creating a spirit of excitement and enthusiasm in the first days of the new year.
Dak Lak province will set off low-altitude fireworks for 15 minutes at 2 locations: 10/3 Square (Buon Ma Thuot ward) and Nui Nhan area (Tuy Hoa ward) on the night of February 16.
In addition to the fireworks program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also organizes unique, meaningful, and unique cultural activities on New Year's Eve.
Previously, in mid-January 2026, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee agreed not to organize fireworks displays on New Year's Eve of Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 to focus resources on taking care of people's lives.
