On November 3, according to records, the Dong Nai river bank in Thuong Tan 2 hamlet, Thuong Tan commune, Ho Chi Minh City is eroding, at risk of landslides approaching DT 746.
The height from the surface of DT 746 road to the river water level is about 10 m. The water rose, each piece of land is eroding and flowing into the river, gradually encroaching on DT 746.
The Dong Nai River flows through Thuong Tan commune for about 23 km, with many landslides, of which the two most severe are in Thuong Tan 1 and Lac An 3 hamlets.
This situation has been going on for a long time, but in recent days, prolonged heavy rain combined with the discharge of floodwater from Tri An hydropower plant to regulate water levels has led to more complicated landslides and erosion of the Dong Nai riverbank.

If the landslides on the Dong Nai riverbank continue as in the past, it will seriously affect DT 746 road.
It is known that the People's Committee of Thuong Tan commune has also reviewed and initially assessed the situation. At the same time, it is recommended that the Ho Chi Minh City authorities promptly deploy surveys and reinforce landslides to avoid unfortunate incidents. In addition, review and relocate households near the riverbank to ensure the safety of the people.
