However, through the results of the first 6 months of 2025, it is also necessary to frankly admit: the scale of the province's economy is still quite small; the economic growth rate in the recent period has not had a breakthrough, there is no new growth momentum, the economic restructuring is still slow, the proportion of agricultural areas in the province's GRDP is still high (accounting for 34.8%), compared to the national average (accounting for 11.28%)...
To overcome these, it requires solidarity, much more efforts, and promoting a high level of proactiveness and creativity (according to calculations, to achieve the annual growth target of 8.0% or more, in the last 6 months of 2025, the growth rate must be 8.8%, of which: The third quarter must achieve growth of 8.4%; The fourth quarter must achieve growth of 9.2%)...
At the launching ceremony, departments, branches and sectors had 26 units registered to compete, including many projects and tasks related to many areas that can promote economic growth of the province. Notable among them are the Project to adjust the General Planning of Nam Can Economic Zone, Ca Mau province until 2040; Investment project to build N5 route (phase 1) Khanh An Industrial Park; Support for the C.P Ca Mau Seafood Factory Project of C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company to officially operate; Investment project to restore and embellish the historical relic of Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc - Cha La Victory Site; Investment project to renovate and repair the Ca Mau Provincial Conference Center...
Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that to achieve the growth target of 8.8% in the last 6 months of 2025, all levels and sectors are interested in implementing many key tasks. Accelerate the implementation of key and key tasks such as: ensuring the smooth, effective and efficient operation of local governments at both levels; resolutely not to let interruptions in handling tasks, especially handling administrative procedures to serve people and businesses well.
According to Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai, up to now, Ca Mau province has completed the arrangement and organization of the apparatus, building a two-level local government on the basis of merging Bac Lieu province and Ca Mau province, creating new resources, new development space, and expanded infrastructure, which will contribute to promoting economic growth of the province in particular and the whole country in general.
