On the afternoon of July 22, Mr. Dam Hai Van - Director of Nha Trang Bay Management Board - confirmed that a large whale had appeared and hunted in the Hon Rom sea area, about 13km from the center of Nha Trang.
Previously, at around 11am the same day, a member of a diving club in Nha Trang recorded an elephant gliding on the water to prey, above which was a flock of Ha Noi birds flying, creating a vibrant and exotic natural scene.
According to Mr. Van, this is the first time the whale has been recorded appearing in the Hon Rom area - where only pork has been recorded in the past. Whale hunting in this sea area is a very rare phenomenon.
The Hon Rom area is a strictly protected sea area. The appearance of the whale shows a very positive signal, reflecting a clear improvement in the quality of the water environment. The rich aquatic resources have attracted small schools of fish, attracting the return of large marine animals such as elephants.
