On February 25, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province announced that the US Government had issued a notice of exemption from the temporary suspension order for projects to overcome the consequences of bombs, mines and explosives after the war in the locality.
According to the announcement from the US Government, projects implemented by MAG, NPA, PTVN and CRS organizations in Quang Binh will continue to be implemented from February 24 to April 20, 2025. This is a temporary period of time while the United States reviews and reviews foreign aid. The operating time may be longer depending on the review results.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, projects to overcome the consequences of bombs and mines in the province were temporarily suspended.
The US government has asked foreign non governments receiving funding from the US Government, including the US Department of State and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), to temporarily suspend operations for 90 days ( starting from January 25, 2025) for assessment and review.
