According to the Lam Dong Province Hydrometeorological Station, on November 6 and in the coming days, the upstream area of the Dong Nai River, especially the basin of hydroelectric reservoirs, will be affected by storm No. 13.
Due to the impact of the storm, this area is likely to experience many places with heavy to very heavy rain. Currently, the water level in hydroelectric reservoirs in the Dong Nai river basin is on the rise.

In response to that development, hydropower plants such as Dong Nai 2, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4 and Dong Nai 5 (in Lam Dong province) have proactively implemented many response measures.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company - said that the unit is managing the two hydropower plants Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4.
Faced with complicated weather conditions and rising lake water levels, the company has issued a notice to relevant authorities and localities; at the same time, deploying forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor weather developments and water levels.

The company has conducted overflow discharge to regulate the two hydroelectric reservoirs Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4 to ensure safety for the project and downstream areas. Similarly, Dong Nai 2 and Dong Nai 5 hydropower plants also proactively release and regulate according to the reservoir operation process.
Currently, hydropower companies are closely coordinating with local authorities and Civil Defense Commands at all levels to effectively implement storm prevention work.
Units continue to closely monitor the weather and water flow to the lake to proactively adjust operations, ensuring the safety of the project and absolute safety for people in the downstream area.
