On June 9, some business households informed Lao Dong Newspaper about localities that owe them food, stationery, etc. They have contacted them to pay or set a payment deadline.
For Quan Com Que, Kien Duc town and Kien Thanh commune, Dak R'lap district (Dak Nong), all debts have been paid for many years.
Of which, Kien Duc town paid more than 110 million VND on June 8. Kien Thanh commune paid more than 60 million VND on June 9.
Similarly, the owner of the L.H stationery store said that all debts of Kien Thanh commune in the period of 2013-2020 have been paid. Kien Duc town alone has set the payment date as June 15.
A leader of Kien Thanh Commune People's Committee said that allowing debts to persist has caused bad public opinion. These are debts from many years ago, through many generations of leaders.
According to this leader, after the press reported, the locality invited related individuals to work. After separating each debt, the People's Committee of Kien Thanh commune assigned each individual to be primarily responsible for payment.
"For collective debts, the unit's members have agreed to divide them equally to pay. Currently, we have paid all debts, said the leader of Kien Thanh Commune People's Committee.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that Kien Thanh Commune and Kien Duc Town (Dak R'lap District) are owing hundreds of millions of VND in rice and stationery to some businesses in the area.
After that, the Dak Nong Department of Home Affairs issued a document requesting the District People's Committee to urgently verify and report on the cases of money debt reported by the press to report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
If individuals or groups violate, they will be held responsible according to the provisions of law; at the same time, consider not arranging violators according to the personnel plan when merging commune-level units in this period until the handling is complete.
