On July 8, according to information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the connecting transportation system (route No. 1, route No. 2) at the Long Thanh airport project is focusing on completing construction.
According to ACV, package 6, 12 - Connected transportation system (route No. 1, route No. 2) plays an important role in the overall Long Thanh airport project.
The item not only serves the construction and completion process of the project but also contributes to the formation of strategic traffic axes, ensuring synchronous connection between the airport and key traffic routes of the area when put into operation in the future.
The package includes route No. 1 connecting to National Highway 51, about 4.28 km long, with a scale of 6 lanes; route No. 2 connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, about 3.5 km long, with a scale of 4 lanes; and 6 km of intersection system.
To date, the package has basically completed the main items, and is currently focusing on completing the connection of the power system, and at the same time deploying planting trees and lawns to create a synchronous landscape.
According to ACV, the gradual completion of the connecting transportation system (route No. 1, route No. 2) contributes to enhancing traffic capacity, connecting the airport with key traffic axes; and at the same time completing the technical infrastructure appearance of Long Thanh airport, ready for the goal of putting the project into operation in the near future.
The Long Thanh airport project aims to be completed and put into commercial operation by the end of 2026.
According to ACV, contractors are simultaneously accelerating, organizing "3 shifts, 4 teams" construction day and night, and at the same time responding to the emulation period "180 days and nights to accelerate the completion of the Long Thanh airport project".
