In the bustling atmosphere of the Lunar New Year 2025, Can Tho City has decorated the main roads and intersections with artistic lights with creative and highlighted decorations, creating a spring atmosphere and a civilized and modern appearance of the city before the New Year.
According to the reporter, every evening, stretching along the central route of the city, the art light street is decorated brilliantly, shining at night. The city seems to be wearing a colorful "shirt" to welcome Spring 2025.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, the 2025 art lighting street is about 1.96km long, from the intersection of 30/4 Street - Tran Van Hoai Street to the roundabout in front of the City People's Committee.
Along the entire route, 3 key points will be implemented, including the roundabout in front of the City People's Committee, the roundabout in front of Luu Huu Phuoc Park, and the intersection of 30/4 Street - Quang Trung Street.
At the same time, the entire route is decorated with patterns and lights on both sides of the road, along with small islands in the middle of the road, creating a shimmering, magical urban picture.
Can Tho City has a policy of socializing capital sources and organizing the selection of implementing units in accordance with regulations. This shows the city's interest and investment in creating entertainment spaces for people during the Tet holiday.
The 2025 Art Street is being implemented with a budget of about 5 billion VND from socialized sources. It is expected that the entire street will be completed before January 22, 2025.
Currently, the construction unit is carrying out some final stages of the entire route to complete the artistic lighting line, creating a sparkling space every evening for the city.
Since the street lights were turned on, Can Tho City at night was once again sparkling with colors. Many locals and tourists began to take to the streets to check-in, enjoy the sights and feel the spring atmosphere.
Ms. Thien Trang (30 years old, Ninh Kieu district) excitedly shared that these days, Can Tho streets are bright with lights, many colorful flowers are displayed, the weather is also cold, making her feel happy and excited in the moment of changing seasons.
In particular, this year Can Tho also organized an art flower street with the theme “Convergence and Development” on Vo Van Tan – Nguyen Thai Hoc street, with a budget of about 5.5 billion VND. The combination of the street lights and the flower street creates a diverse and rich festival space for the city.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - said that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the city will organize many activities to celebrate the Party and celebrate Spring; thereby expecting more tourists to come to Can Tho.
