On March 12, the Gia Lai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is focusing on coordinating with localities to accelerate site clearance for the main route of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project.
At the same time, urgently complete related items such as material mines, waste dumps, resettlement areas and exhumation areas to meet progress requirements.
Units proactively review and identify priority locations to focus on site clearance first, creating favorable conditions for construction deployment, especially in drainage works areas and locations where materials are needed to balance excavation and embankment.
Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the project management unit to strengthen inspection and urging contractors to complete dossiers and procedures for exploiting material mines and waste yards, ensuring sufficient conditions for exploitation to serve the project, striving to complete it no later than March 15, 2026.
Contractors are also required to focus manpower, materials, equipment, and organize the construction site reasonably to meet construction progress.

At the same time, select areas that need resettlement to be arranged for construction first, basically completing the ground and technical infrastructure, creating conditions for handover to people to build houses, expected to be completed in March 2026.
Communes with projects passing through need to urgently determine specific land prices and issue relevant support policies to serve the work of preparing compensation and site clearance plans.
The confirmation of land origin is carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring clarity, accuracy and transparency, without allowing negativity to occur, contributing to creating consensus among the people and facilitating the project implementation process.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reflected, the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project is about 125 km long, passing through 17 communes and wards, is a national key project with a total investment of more than 43,700 billion VND. The expressway is designed with 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 24.75 m, and a design speed of 100 km/h.
After completion, the project will contribute to promoting trade, developing logistics services, transporting agricultural products, strengthening inter-regional connectivity, creating motivation for socio-economic development for the region.
Currently, Quy Nhon and Pleiku are mainly connected through National Highway 19 with a travel time of about 4 hours. When the expressway is completed, the travel time between the two cities is expected to be shortened to about 1.5 hours.
