On the afternoon of August 26, Mr. Tran Quang Dong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Xuan Commune - said that on the same morning, while in the process of cutting down fallen trees after the storm to clear the road for smooth traffic, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Hung - Deputy Head of Thach Xuan Commune Police unfortunately fell and was injured and had to be hospitalized at Ha Tinh General Hospital for treatment.
According to Mr. Dong, Lieutenant Colonel Hung fell with facial injuries, a broken nose and a broken wrist. Immediately after the incident, the people involved in cutting down fallen trees quickly took Mr. Hung to the hospital.
