On the afternoon of August 25, information from the leader of Kim Hoa commune (Ha Tinh province) said that there had just been 2 accidents in the area when people were hanging up their roofs to prevent storm No. 5, causing 1 death and 1 serious injury.
Specifically, at 4:30 p.m. on August 24, Mr. H.H.Q (born in 1968, Kim Hoa commune) fell from the roof to the ground while reinforcing the roof. Although he was taken to Huong Son Medical Center for emergency treatment, Mr. Q. did not survive until 10:30 p.m. the same day.
At around 1:00 p.m. on August 25, Mr. T.D.T (residing in village 3, Kim Hoa commune) fell while tying a rope to prevent the roof from bloating and was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury.
Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on August 24, Mr. N.V.Q (born in 1985, Mai Ha village, Huong Son commune) also fell while tying up the roof and had to be hospitalized for emergency care.

According to the Bac Ninh Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 p.m. today (August 25), the center of storm No. 5 was at about 18.5 degrees North latitude; 106.3 degrees East longitude, in the coastal waters of Nghe An - Ha Tinh. The strongest wind near the storm center is level 13 (134-149km/h), gusting to level 16, moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 15-20km/h.

Tourists swimming in Da Nang, ignoring warnings before storm No. 5
Recorded by Lao Dong reporter at noon on August 25, many tourists and residents in Da Nang still go to the beach to swim, take photos, check-in, surfy... even though storm No. 5 is about to make landfall.
