The headquarters of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center was invested in construction in Hong Hai Ward (Ha Long City), with a total investment of nearly 770 billion VND from the provincial budget.
The project is a 20-storey building, with a total height of over 105m, and a floor area of nearly 22,000m2. Of which, the 5-storey base block and the 14-storey tower block are specialized working areas, film studios, technical areas, catering + kitchen areas, and common areas; 1 basement is arranged for parking areas, building technical areas... Studio S8, the largest studio in the building, has an area of 530m2, and can accommodate nearly 400 people. The blocks are synchronously connected, interconnected, and have all functional subdivisions, meeting specialized technical requirements.
The project will be implemented from September 2023, with a prime location, located in the most vibrant center of Ha Long.
The construction also encountered many difficulties due to the complex geology of the area, the mass piles were deeper than the design; below the foundation was a caster cave system, many locations had up to 3 cave floors, some piles had to be drilled deeper than 70m to reach the hard rock layer... Therefore, the supervisory unit reported to the investor and agreed to deploy appropriate construction measures, promptly apply advanced construction technology to overcome difficulties, along with organizing overtime and increasing shifts to ensure progress.
Currently, the project has completed the main structure of the building and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025 to put into operation, use, celebrate major events of the province and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025.
