On September 22, a representative of the Dong Son Project Management Board, Thanh Hoa province, said that the construction units are currently urgently implementing to complete the items according to the plan of the North-South railway overpass project (in Hac Thanh ward).

The project has a total investment of nearly 647 billion VND, of which the construction cost is 513.31 billion VND, the rest is site clearance (GPMB) cost and other costs.
The project started in July 2024, constructed by a joint venture of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company and Minh Tuan Construction Investment Joint Stock Corporation. The project has a total length of nearly 800 m, including a main bridge 276 m long and an approach road of more than 500 m. The bridge is designed with a cable-stayed permanent reinforced concrete structure, a 25 m wide bridge surface with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 mixed lanes.

On September 11, the project was closed. Currently, the project has reached more than 87% of the volume, expected to be technically opened to traffic by the end of December and completed and put into use in early 2026.
According to actual records, after more than 1 year of construction, the main items have been basically completed, the shape of the bridge is clearly visible with a prominent red cable-stayed system. The construction unit is mobilizing human resources and machinery to urgently deploy the remaining items. This is also the first cable-stayed bridge project built in Thanh Hoa.

A representative of the Dong Son Project Management Board added that during the implementation process, the site clearance for 17 households in Nguyen Hong Alley (old Phu Son Ward, now Hac Thanh Ward) was not completed, causing the project's progress to be slower than the original plan.
