Binh Khanh Bridge, North Passing Soai Rap River, connecting Nha Be and Can Gio districts (Ho Chi Minh City), belonging to the J1 bidding package of the project, with a total length of more than 2.76 km, of which the main bridge section is 763 m long. The project was started in August 2015 with a total investment of more than VND 2,800 billion. However, after reaching about 70% of the volume, the project must be paused in late 2018 due to capital problems.

By the end of October 2023, Binh Khanh Bridge was officially started. According to the latest report of the investor, the project has completed about 93% of the volume, with 16/18 burning beams has been installed. It is expected that the bridge will be completed in early September, creating the foundation for the entire Ben Luc - Long Thanh highway at the end of 2026.

The bridge uses a structure of two flat rope, an H-shaped pillar 135 m high, a 21.75 m wide bridge surface with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 emergency lanes. In particular, the clearance of the boat reached 55 m - the highest in the country today.
Not far away, Phuoc Khanh Bridge - the final bottleneck of the entire expressway - is also being restarted after a long interruption. The bridge crosses the Long Tau River, connecting Can Gio District (HCMC) and Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai), under the J3 package. The project started in July 2015, more than 3.1 km long, with a bridge surface of 22 m wide, including 4 lanes and 2 emergency lanes.

By early 2019, Phuoc Khanh Bridge had reached more than 80% of the progress, so it had to temporarily stop construction due to difficulties in capital and mechanisms. After JICA withdrew funding, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) has proactively arranged capital to continue the project. By early May this year, Phuoc Khanh Bridge was officially re-implemented and is expected to be completed before September 2026.

The Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway project has a total length of nearly 58 km with a total investment of more than 30,000 billion VND, passing through Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai. The project completion date has been adjusted to September 30, 2026, in order to reserve more time for key packages, especially Phuoc Khanh Bridge - the last technical bottleneck on the entire route.
After completion and operation, the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway along with Binh Khanh and Phuoc Khanh bridges will connect the Southwest with the Southeast, significantly reducing pressure on traffic in the region, playing an important role in promoting the socio-economic development of the key economic region in the South.
