As Lao Dong reported, the Lo River bridge in Doan Hung commune, Phu Tho province has now appeared to be in a state of disrepair after 10 years of use. After the water level of the Lo River receded, it was discovered that the T3 pillar was damaged and had exposed steel Beds, causing global insecurity.
Currently, the authorities have announced the limit on the carrying capacity of vehicles traveling through the Lo River Bridge, only allowing two-wheeled motorbikes, three-wheeled motorbikes, motorbikes (including electric motorbikes), rudimentary road vehicles and traffic participants to travel through the bridge.

However, in the Lo River bridge area, for many people in Doan Hung commune, there is a concern no less than the bridge deterioration, which is the situation of riverbank landslides in the residential areas: Dai Hoi, Van Cuong 1, Van Cuong (left bank of the river, above and below Lo River bridge, in the area of Hop Nhat commune, old Doan Hung district).
Meeting reporters from Lao Dong Newspaper in early November, households said that the landslides on the banks of the Lo River here started from storm No. 3 Yagi in 2024, the river water level rose, sweeping away many areas of land, crops and people's architectural objects.

After that, landslides continued in a "guggling" manner, day by day, each layer of land along the river was sliding into the rushing water. By the two recent storms No. 10 and No. 11, the situation became increasingly serious, landslides approached residential areas, threatening the safety of many households living outside the dike.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan - a resident of the Congress area - shared: "The landslide has washed away about 30 to 40m of soil from the river to the shore, if we count the entire land area, it is probably up to a thousand square meters, old bamboo and many coconut and acacia trees that my family planted, now the large cage is about to collapse".

With the guidance of the people, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded that on the riverbank through Dai Hoi area, many areas of land and concrete roads leading to Hop Nhat ferry terminal along with many fences and trees of the people had collapsed.
Pointing to the collapsed fence of his family, lying around the river, Mr. Tran Van Quyen - a resident of Dai Hoi area - expressed: "About 600 to 700 m2 of the land in my family's cultivation has been eroded, more worryingly, the erosion has approached residential land. I and the households living along the Lo River are very worried and hope that the state will pay attention and invest in a solid embankment to protect the land, protect people and the main provincial road 323I".

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Vu Van Binh - Secretary of Dai Hoi Residential Area Party Cell - said that in the face of increasingly serious landslides, the wish of the people of the Congress area in particular and the residential areas along the river in general is to soon receive investment from the state, to build a solid embankment from the end of the old embankment section on the upstream of the Lo River Bridge downstream, to the drainage area.

According to a leader of Doan Hung Commune People's Committee, the people's wish to build an embankment to prevent riverbank erosion is legitimate. After receiving the feedback, the commune government conducted an inspection and reported to the superiors. Currently, the province is balancing resources to invest and build a solid embankment to handle landslides in the coming time.
