Mr. Tran Nguyen Thai Binh, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Nam Khanh Vinh Commune (Khanh Hoa Province) said that the flash flood on the night of November 19 caused great damage to hundreds of households.

Up to now, communication in the area has not been restored, electricity is still lost, traffic is only temporarily connected to the main route.
According to Mr. Binh, there are currently no complete statistics on the damage. However, the commune initially determined that there were no human casualties thanks to timely warnings and evacuations.


Regarding assets, some houses collapsed, many households had their belongings swept away and were deeply flooded; most of their belongings were buried in mud and soil.
The two main suspension bridges of the commune - Da Trang Bridge and Khanh Nam suspension bridge, connecting the commune center with neighboring areas - were swept away by floodwaters.

Mr. Binh said that before that, at around 2:00 p.m. on November 19, floodwater from the Trang and Mau rivers poured in very quickly at the confluence point in Nam Khanh Vinh commune.
On the side of the authorities, the authorities promptly evacuated and rescued people, ensuring the safety of their lives.
