On April 30, the Director of the Hue City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that from 6:30 am on the same day, the Thuan An estuary overpass was put into operation.
To date, the project has basically completed the main items including asphalt concrete pavement of the bridge deck, lighting system, railings, signs and lane markings.
The remaining items such as sidewalks and the drainage system at the end of the route will continue to be completed, and the entire route is expected to be completed on June 30.
The coastal road project through Hue City and Thuan An estuary overpass started construction on March 24, 2022, and was scheduled to be completed on March 23, 2025. However, due to site clearance problems, the progress has been prolonged.
Phase 1 of the project has a total investment of about 2,400 billion VND, of which construction costs are more than 2,088 billion VND.
The project starts at the intersection of National Highway 49B - Tam Giang bridge, ends at the intersection of National Highway 49A - 49B, with a total length of about 7.785km. In which, the Thuan An estuary overpass is about 2.36km long, and the road section is about 5.3km long.
