On March 29, information from the People's Committee of Gia Nghia City (Dak Nong) said that according to the approved plan, the entire site will be handed over to the Gia Nghia City Central Square Project by September 2025.
However, this task is facing many difficulties and obstacles. Previously, to carry out site clearance for the above project, the People's Committee of Gia Nghia city was assigned as the investor of the Project to relocate and resettle 212 households.
This project was approved by the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee in December 2020 and adjusted in January 2024. The total area of land clearance for the Gia Nghia City Central Square Project is 10.59 hectares.
Up to now, 2.78 hectares of the project core area have been completed, handed over to the investor, and construction has reached about 64% of the contract value.
The remaining site clearance area of 7.81ha is in 3 wards: Nghia Duc (1.14ha), Nghia Trung (4.15ha) and Nghia Thanh 2.52ha.
Site clearance in this area is very slow and has many problems. According to the People's Committee of Nghia Duc Ward, there are 23 households that are subject to land acquisition and relocation. Of which, 12 households have completed declaration and measurement and are waiting for document confirmation. There are 4 households that have measured and inventoried but have not signed to confirm the documents. The remaining 7 households did not cooperate in the inventory despite the authorities' many campaigns and propaganda.
In Nghia Trung and Nghia Thanh wards, investors and local authorities have organized dialogues to collect opinions from households and individuals whose land in the project area has been reclaimed.
To complete site clearance for the project, Gia Nghia city needs to implement many important contents.
According to the plan, in 2025, the city's specialized agencies must carry out more than 20 tasks to complete this process.
The leader of Gia Nghia City People's Committee emphasized that the plan is only feasible when there is the consensus of the people whose land is recovered and the close coordination of related units.
