At 6:11 p.m. on October 31, Center 114 - Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) of Hai Phong City Police received a report from residents about a fire at SK-ONE Furniture Manufacturing Company Limited in An Dong Commune, An Duong District.
The leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department urgently mobilized forces and vehicles from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Teams of An Duong District Police, Hong Bang District Police and teams of Area 1 and Area 4 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department) to the scene to put out the fire.
At the scene, authorities determined that the fire had an area of about 200 square meters, was in an industrial wooden furniture factory, and was at risk of spreading to neighboring areas and houses near the facility.
Forces and vehicles deployed to fight the fire, cool it down, and prevent it from spreading. By 7:15 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control and extinguished. Afterwards, police forces continued to spray water to cool and extinguish the embers.
Initially, the fire did not cause any human casualties, and property damage is still being assessed. Currently, An Duong District Police are taking over the scene to investigate the cause of the fire according to regulations.
