At about 4:50 am on February 13, the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Bac Ninh Provincial Police received a fire report at Duy Bia Hoi restaurant.
Functional agencies urgently mobilized more than 20 officers and soldiers along with 3 fire trucks of the Nam Son - Hap Linh area Fire and Rescue Team, and the Dai Phuc area Fire and Rescue Team to the scene.
Firefighters coordinated with the electricity agency to cut off electricity in the area where the fire occurred.
Nam Son Ward Police were mobilized to participate in ensuring security and order and supporting local forces to handle incidents.
After nearly 40 minutes of fire police deploying professional measures, by about 5:25 am, the fire was completely extinguished.
During the scene inspection, functional forces discovered a person dead in the restaurant.
The victim was identified as Mr. V.T. K (born 2009, from Binh Gia commune, Lang Son province), a restaurant employee.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran The Cuong, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police, said that the Provincial Police have directed functional units to urgently examine the scene, investigate, and clarify the cause of the fire.
At the same time, the police of units and localities are requested to strengthen review, inspection, and ensure fire prevention and fighting safety in the area, in order to prevent similar incidents.
