The dry port and logistics service area in Phong Khe was approved for detailed planning by Bac Ninh province from April 2021 with a total area of about 94.53 ha.
To implement the project, the total area recovered according to the plan in Vo Cuong ward (Bac Ninh province) is more than 86.7 ha.
From the beginning of January 2025 to now, the locality has approved compensation and support plans 6 times for more than 82.8 hectares, reaching more than 90% of the area to be recovered.
520/530 households have received compensation and support money and handed over land.
However, there are still about 3.88 hectares that have not been approved and some households have not agreed because they have not agreed with the compensation and support unit price.
Clearly identifying these obstacles, Vo Cuong Ward People's Committee has proactively coordinated with the Kinh Bac Land Fund Development Center and Cham Khe residential group to propagate, mobilize, and directly dialogue with people.
In mid-January 2026, Vo Cuong Ward People's Committee will hold a meeting to remove difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance for the project.
At the meeting, relevant units raised some shortcomings such as: No unit prices for the walls surrounding the tombs; overlapping boundary between the cemetery area and the logistics area...
Chairman of Vo Cuong Ward People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Hieu directed and assigned units and investors to focus on implementation, ensuring the progress and efficiency of compensation and site clearance work.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Co (Vo Cuong ward) shared that her family has more than 700 m2 of land located in the planned area of the dry port area. Through propaganda, the family agreed to implement the project and has received compensation money and handed over the land.
We hope the project will be implemented soon and pay attention to supporting jobs for local people, especially families whose land is recovered," Ms. Co said.
Previously, in October 2021, Bac Ninh province called for investment in the Phong Khe shallow port project with a total investment of more than VND 4.609 billion.
In February 2022, Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving LSH Logistics Company as the investor to implement the Phong Khe shallow port project.
The transformation of the entire Phong Khe craft village into a dry port and logistics service area is considered a definitive solution to the environmental pollution situation here, which has existed for decades.
