A fire broke out at a chicken hotpot restaurant on Hau Giang Street, District 6, causing partial property damage but fortunately there were no human casualties. The Fire Police and Rescue and Rescue Force (PC07) arrived in time to rescue and guide 7 people to escape safely.
Initial information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC07) said that at around 9:35 a.m. on June 6, this unit received a report of a fire at the Co May green rice hotpot restaurant, address 75 Hau Giang, Ward 2, District 6.
Immediately, PC07 mobilized 3 specialized vehicles and 18 officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 6 to the scene. Under the command of Comrade Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Deputy Captain, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force quickly approached and deployed 2 B-rings to put out the fire. After only about 20 minutes (until 9:50 a.m. the same day), the fire was completely extinguished.

Notably, the Fire Police force directly rescued 3 people trapped inside the house and guided 4 others to escape safely. Thanks to the quick and effective response, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
Regarding property damage, the fire burned part of the area of this 6-storey house. The hotpot restaurant uses a ground floor and a central floor for catering, the upper floors are staff accommodation. Some items in the fire area were also damaged, and have not been estimated to be in the amount of money.
The initial cause of the fire was determined to be carelessness during the cooking process, when frying a large pan of oil.
Currently, Ward 2 Police (District 6) are coordinating with relevant units to continue investigating to clarify the cause and accurately count the damage from this fire.
