Details of garbage collection prices in Ho Chi Minh City from June 1

Ho Chi Minh City will apply a new fee for collection, transportation and treatment of household waste calculated according to the volume or volume of waste, replacing the old regulations.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued Decision 67 regulating prices for domestic solid waste collection, transportation and treatment services in the area. This Decision takes effect from June 1, 2025, replacing Decision 38/2018 and Decision 20/2021 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

This Decision stipulates the form and price (funding) that agencies, organizations, production and business establishments, services, investors in construction and business of infrastructure in production, business, and concentrated service areas, industrial clusters, households and individuals must pay for the collection, transportation, and treatment of household waste based on the volume or volume of waste.

Accordingly, garbage collection and transportation fees will be collected each month in the following areas:

For Thu Duc City and districts

Households/owners of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of ≤ 126 kg/month will pay 61,000 VND for collection and 23,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of a source of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of over 126 kg/month to 250 kg/month will pay 91,000 VND for collection and 34,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of a source of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of over 250 kg/month to 420 kg/month will pay 163,000 VND for collection and 60,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of the waste source with the volume of domestic garbage generated over 420 kg/month will pay VND 485.97/kg of garbage and transported VND 180.07/kg of garbage.

Binh Chanh and Cu Chi districts

Households/owners of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of ≤ 126 kg/month will pay 57,000 VND for collection and 19,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of a source of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of over 126 kg/month to 250 kg/month will pay 85,000 VND for collection and 28,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of a source of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of over 250 kg/month to 420 kg/month will pay 152,000 VND for collection and 49,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of the waste source with the volume of domestic garbage generated over 420 kg/month will pay VND 452.91/kg of garbage and transport money of VND 147.07/kg of garbage.

Hoc Mon, Nha Be, Can Gio districts

Households/owners of waste with a volume of generated domestic waste of ≤ 126 kg/month pay 57,000 VND for collection and 23,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of the waste source with a volume of generated household waste of over 126 kg/month to 250 kg/month pays 85,000 VND for collection and 34,000 VND for transportation.

The owner of the waste source with a volume of generated household waste of over 250 kg/month to 420 kg/month pays 152,000 VND in collection fee and 60,000 VND in transportation fee.

The owner of the waste source has a volume of domestic waste generated over 420 kg/month to pay VND 452.91/kg of garbage and VND 180.07/kg of garbage.

This period has not yet collected domestic waste treatment service prices for group 1 subjects including households, individuals and owners of small waste sources.

For owners of large sources of waste, they will pay additional fees for waste treatment. In Thu Duc City and the districts, it is 420.45 VND/kg of waste. In Hoc Mon, Nha Be, Can Gio districts, it is 420.45 VND/kg of waste. In Cu Chi district, Binh Chanh, it is 420.45 VND/kg of waste.

The above levels do not include value-added tax. During the implementation process, the value-added tax rate for output is applied according to current regulations.
