After 150 years of formation and development of the Vietnamese beer industry, Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (SABECO) has not only left its mark by scale, market share or brand, but also by its lasting values associated with people, communities and the development of the country.

From heritage gratitude to sustainable development commitment

According to SABECO representative, 150 years of heritage as a high-altitude event is not only a meaningful celebration campaign, but also reflects the long-term vision of the enterprise in inheriting and promoting the heritage of the Vietnamese beer industry in parallel with the sustainable development strategy ESG (Environment - Society - Governance).

Environment: Long-term investment for green growth

In the environmental aspect, SABECO has been implementing many initiatives to minimize the impact on the ecosystem and effectively use resources. The company recorded that the rate of renewable energy use at factories has exceeded 40%, while promoting solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, optimize water use, wastewater management and improve production processes towards energy saving.

At the same time, SABECO promotes the circular packaging model, invests in solar power systems at many production facilities and gradually improves environmental governance standards according to international practices. These efforts have been recognized when SABECO was honored as Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises in the manufacturing sector in 2025 within the framework of the Sustainable Enterprise Assessment Program (CSI) organized by VBCSD - VCCI.

Society: Put people and the community at the center

In terms of society, SABECO's sustainable development orientation cannot be separated from human factors. The enterprise maintains its commitment to putting the safety, welfare and development of workers first, while being proud to own the largest team of Vietnamese brewers in the country - a force contributing to raising the domestic supply chain and the value of Vietnamese products.

Through the campaign "150 years of heritage rising up", SABECO has implemented many community-bending initiatives such as "Heritage Night", "Heritage Journey", bringing the story of 150 years of Vietnam's beer industry and SABECO's ESG efforts closer to people nationwide. Not only honoring heritage, these activities also encourage a sustainable lifestyle through the model of used can and bottle recycling machines, while spreading the message "enjoying responsibility".

In particular, the localities that the journey passes through are also where SABECO maintains long-term social security programs such as "Lighting up the countryside" and "Lighting up the border". As of 2024, SABECO has supported the construction of 109 km of solar street lights in localities across the country, bringing direct benefits to more than 750,000 people and building 30 community sports fields in 30 provinces and cities through the "Sports Stepping Up" program.

In addition, the SABECO Sports Hub initiative has attracted the participation of more than 40,000 people in 36 provinces and cities, spreading the spirit of healthy living. In the same year, 100% of SABECO's product packaging was printed with information on age limits and warnings against drinking alcohol while driving, promoting the culture of "enjoying responsibility.
