On May 17, the Mobile Police Department - Hue City Police said that 3 soldiers of the unit promptly donated blood, contributing to saving the life of a patient with critical blood cancer at Hue Central Hospital.
Previously, on the morning of May 15, 2025, the Mobile Police Department received an urgent notice from the Department of Hematology - Blood Transfusion, Hue Central Hospital about the case of patient Le Thi My (born in 1990) with severe leukemia and anemia, requiring urgent blood transfusion of group A.
Due to the scarce source of group A blood at the hospital, blood transfusion is difficult, directly threatening the patient's life.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Party Committee and the Command of the Mobile Police Department urgently announced and mobilized officers and soldiers with appropriate blood types to be ready to support.
3 comrades: Commissioner Phan Van Binh, Commissioner Nguyen Van Viet and Commissioner Ho Van Tan - from the Target Protection Police Team - quickly reported to the leaders, went to the hospital to complete procedures and performed emergency blood donation.
Thanks to timely blood supply, the patient has overcome the critical stage and is currently being monitored and treated according to the hospital's professional regimen.
With the sense of responsibility and shock of the youth, in recent times, many officers and soldiers of Hue City Police have actively participated in voluntary blood donation, building a "Living Blood Bank" to promptly support patients in emergency situations.
The quick and humane actions of the soldiers this time received a letter of emotional thanks from the patient's family to the Hue City Police Department and the unit Command.
