The Department of Transport of Phu Tho province has just issued Document No. 168/TB-SGTVT, announcing the adjustment of traffic organization through Tu My bridge at Km26+500, National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025.
According to the announcement of the Department of Transport, passenger cars with 7 seats or less are allowed to travel through Tu My bridge (crossing the Bua river, connecting Lam Son commune, Tam Nong district with Dong Luong commune, Cam Khe district), with a maximum speed of 40km/h.
Implementation time starts from 7:00 a.m. on January 21 until further notice.
Cars with more than 7 seats and trucks continue to be banned from traveling through this bridge.
Therefore, vehicles traveling from Thanh Thuy district, Tam Nong district to Cam Khe district, Ha Hoa district and vice versa that cannot cross Tu My bridge will follow provincial road 315 -> provincial road 315D (inter-regional road) -> DT.313C -> follow National Highway 32C to Cam Khe, Ha Hoa and vice versa.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported in the article "On the site of the overhaul of a nearly 30-year-old bridge in Phu Tho", Tu My bridge was built in 1996. After nearly 3 decades of serving the people, this bridge across the Bua River has now deteriorated.
Since the Phong Chau bridge collapse (September 9, 2024), Tu My bridge has banned all cars to serve repair work, only bicycles, motorbikes, and non-motorized vehicles can cross the bridge.
