Recorded in shrimp ponds along the coast of Hoang Thanh commune (Thanh Hoa province), after storm No. 10, the current situation is still messy, many farming households have not been able to clean up the "battlefield".

The family of Mr. Tran Van Quan (born in 1972, in Hoang Thanh commune) is one of the shrimp farming households that suffered the most damage. He said that his family had 10 high-tech shrimp ponds and ponds on an area of over 7,000m2 but now they are all gone.

"Storm No. 5 at the end of August caused my family to lose about 3 billion VND. Before long, I was in labor, but storm No. 10 hit again, flattening the entire pond, leaving nothing" - Mr. Quan sadly said.

According to him, he has been involved in shrimp farming for many years but his family has never suffered such a big loss as this time. Previously, 2017 was affected by a storm but to a much lighter extent.

"After two storms No. 5 and No. 10, my family suffered a loss of about 5 billion VND. Now, apart from holding a pile of debt, I don't know how to rebuild the shrimp ponds as before" - Mr. Quan said sadly.
