As of 9:00 a.m. on September 30, in Trung Ha commune, Thanh Hoa, the rain had stopped, the water on the Lo River was gradually receding but slowly, the water level was still high.
The commune and village authorities have reviewed areas at high risk of landslides, advised people not to go out when not necessary, and at the same time notified all schools and kindergartens to let students stay home to ensure safety.

Through a quick inspection, there were no human casualties. There were 2 households whose houses were completely collapsed (1 household in Loc village had rocks and soil from the positive slope poured down, collapsing a wooden stilt house, 1 household in Din village was swept away by water).
In addition, 16 households had their houses flooded with rocks and soil, of which 1 household had broken walls and 1 household had a collapsed kitchen. The parking lot of Trung Ha Kindergarten was completely blown away by a tornado; both sides of the spillway in De village were swept away by flood; the fence of Trung Xuan Primary and Secondary School collapsed.

Many landslides have appeared on main traffic routes in the area, with rocks and soil overflowing with floodwater, causing danger when participating in traffic. The Canh stream bridge (8m long, 4m wide) in Din village was swept away by floodwaters.
All 70 households/304 people have been evacuated from areas at high risk of landslides and streams to safe shelters.
serious landslide at the embankment of National Highway 217 about 100m in Tong village - Km130+800, causing complete traffic jams. On route 530C to Pong village, a landslide also occurred, causing traffic congestion. In Xay village - Km19, National Highway 217, the embankment collapsed about 20m.
About 222 hectares of rice ready for harvest were flooded or swept away by floods; 2.5 hectares of crops (pickles, bananas) were flooded.
222 fish ponds were swept away by the water, with an estimated damage of about 70 tons of fish.
At 11:30 on September 29, Mr. Le Dang Tan (residing in Lang village) was constructing a landslide at Km130+800, National Highway 217 at the request of the commune government when the land in Ta-luy Nam (on the banks of Lo River) suddenly subsided, causing a Hitachi 75 excavator to fall into the river and be swept away by floodwaters.

According to Mr. Ha Xuan Thanh - Secretary of the Trung Ha Commune Party Committee, the commune leaders have directed departments to regularly monitor storm developments and deploy directives from the Central and the province to proactively respond and minimize damage.
The commune continues to coordinate with functional forces to warn and repair landslides. The Commune Civil Defense Command reviewed households at risk of landslides and evacuated them to safety. The police and the commune military have deployed guards on landslides, rivers, streams, and spillways to prevent people from traveling dangerously. The village management board regularly propagates to people not to go fishing or pick up firewood from the river.
Previously, on September 29, a terrible flash flood swept through Trung Ha commune. However, with the spirit of proactive prevention, there were no human casualties.
