On July 8, Mr. Ho Van Mung - Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province - had a working session with Phu Quoc Special Zone on the operation of local government at both levels and other key issues in the operation of the special zone's apparatus.

Chairman of Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee Tran Minh Khoa said: currently, the special zone has completed the arrangement of a stable operating apparatus, with a total of 155 civil servants and 7 labor contracts performing administrative, economic, cultural, social, security and defense management functions.
The existing working equipment has been flexibly reviewed and transferred internally, basically meeting the relatively sufficient needs for work. However, old equipment, slow cau hinh, and not meeting current work requirements still need a plan to supplement and upgrade to improve work efficiency.
The online conference system has been connected smoothly, the basic communication line is stable, helping to maintain meetings and direct operations in a timely manner. However, the number of equipment is not enough and the equipment is not guaranteed to meet the meeting needs. The circulation of documents via the Electronic Office is still facing difficulties due to not being connected to Party agencies and the Fatherland Front.
The work of processing documents continues to ensure compliance with the process and processing time, avoiding backlogs or delays, contributing to maintaining stability in public administration activities.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said that Phu Quoc's socio-economic performance in the first 6 months has achieved very positive results, with the province's budget revenue accounting for a large part.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also proposed to complete the necessary conditions for the special zone to operate in accordance with the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, especially the issue of decentralization in various fields.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed Phu Quoc as doing a good job of operating the Public Administration Center, but due to the large number, it could put pressure on the work. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized: "For special zones and communes, we must focus on serving the people. Propose that the special zone be expanded and increased in human resources in the context of mechanical increase to promptly meet people's needs, handle work better, and increase people's satisfaction".

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the special zone to direct the arrangement of officers to closely monitor the area to promptly detect and handle violations, the police must participate in this. Assign the Department of Science and Technology to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Construction to propose the development of software to apply technology to manage construction land in the whole province.
