On July 29, the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to establish the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and temporarily stipulate the functions, tasks, powers, composition, and organizational structure of the Commune-level Traffic Safety Committee.
The Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Tri province is headed by Mr. Tran Phong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The Standing Deputy Head of the Committee is Mr. Truong Chi Trung - Director of the Department of Construction. The Deputy Head of the Committee is the representative of the Provincial Police.
Members of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee include representatives of the agencies: Provincial People's Committee Office, Provincial Military Command, relevant departments such as Construction, Justice, Finance, Culture - Sports and Tourism, Health, Education and Training, Home Affairs, Provincial Police Traffic Police, Road Management Area II, regional railway branches and a number of railway companies.
The province invited representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Newspapers and Radio and Television of Quang Tri province, and the Red Cross Society to join the Committee. In the organizational structure, the Department of Construction is assigned to be the standing agency of the Quang Tri Provincial Traffic Safety Committee.
Regarding the organization of the Commune-level Traffic Safety Committee, the Head of the Committee is the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee; the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee is the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; the Deputy Head of the Committee is the Head of the Commune Police, Head of the Economic Department (for communes, special zones) or Head of the Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Department (for wards).
The members of the Traffic Safety Committee at the commune level are decided by the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level. The Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level is responsible for urgently completing and temporarily establishing the Traffic Safety Committee at the commune level, regulating the standing agency and issuing operating regulations to implement the task of ensuring traffic safety at the grassroots level.
