On July 23, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Van Lau signed and issued Official Letter No. 209/UBND-XDDT on the implementation of measures to ensure traffic order and safety in Can Tho City.
Implementing Official Dispatch No. 118/UBATGTQG dated July 17, 2025 of the National Traffic Safety Committee on reviewing and handling violations of tour vehicles serving tourists who are not qualified to do business, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City assigned the Director of the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the City Police, the City Traffic Safety Committee, the People's Committees of communes, wards and relevant agencies and units to proactively deploy measures to ensure traffic order and safety in the city according to the direction of the National Traffic Safety Committee in the above official dispatch and Official Dispatch No. 39/UBND-KT dated July 9, 2025 of the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
In addition, urgently advise the entire City Traffic Safety Committee after the merger.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review and inspect traffic safety assurance work at units providing vehicle services to tourists in the city, promptly advise on handling according to regulations for cases of providing vehicle services to tourists that do not ensure traffic safety.
