In which, the public investment project group, there are 4 projects including: Cua Can lake, Duong Dong lake, DT.975 provincial road and APEC Avenue. Four resettlement areas, including: Cua Can, Ho Suoi Lon, An Thoi, Ham Ninh.
Group of projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) method and business investment: investment in expanding Phu Quoc International Airport; wastewater treatment plant; centralized wastewater treatment plant in Duong Dong area; mixed-use urban area project - Red Dat Beach; Ong Quan Mountain eco-tourism mixed-use urban area project.
The work of marking, measuring and making land use plans is being carried out with close coordination from investors and specialized agencies. The People's Committee of Phu Quoc City is also completing the adjustment of land use planning until 2030 to create a legal basis for projects serving the conference.
The province currently has 8 valid stone mining licenses, with the total remaining mining reserve by the end of 2025 being about 8.3 million m3. It is expected that in the last 6 months of 2025 alone, mine owners can produce nearly 2.4 million m3 of finished stone for key projects, with priority given to at least 1 million m3 for projects related to APEC 2027.
Recently, at a meeting to deploy and assign tasks to implement compensation and site clearance for works serving APEC 2027, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province Nguyen Thanh Nhan said that the construction of works serving the APEC 2027 conference is a national political and economic task, creating momentum to promote the development of the local socio-economy, tourism and infrastructure. Therefore, all project projects must ensure progress, completed before June 2027.
At the same time, he emphasized that compensation and site clearance are urgent, special, and important tasks that determine the completion progress of projects.
With a spirit of urgency, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Nhan requested Phu Quoc City and relevant departments to closely coordinate, assign specific tasks, closely follow the established progress and plan, focus the highest efforts, be ready and flexible in work to complete the political tasks. Strengthen propaganda work on the significance of APEC disguises, creating consensus among the people.
Assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with Phu Quoc City and relevant departments and branches to use the database team to plot a plot demarcation diagram; organize meetings with people for each project; conduct measurements; establish a compensation council in combination with a consulting team to review and appraise land use procedures; prepare compensation plans and lists for projects serving APEC.
At the same time, determine specific land prices, arrange resettlement for people; develop specific temporary housing policies for works serving APEC 2027.
